About Me

“Every battle has a plan…Every goal has a sacrifice…Every dream has a price…That’s the price of glory!”

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Mauritius on the east coast of Madagascar located in the Indian Ocean.  I have been blessed with having the best parents anyone can ask for together with an amazing family of 5 sisters and 2 brothers with me being the youngest.

At the time, due to the impoverish economy of the island, my parents decided it was best to move to Canada for me to have the best opportunity for an education and my future.  They sacrificed their business, their home and most of the families in search for a better life for me.  At 13 years old, my parents and 2 of my sisters immigrated  to Canada where I got heavily involved into martial arts and few years later started competing on a professional level.

My dad being a physical fitness enthusiast  inspired me to be a good athlete and always taught me the value of hard work and training.  My mom was an adviser and always focused on the mental aspect for me and taught me how to be mentally strong in life and in competitions.   It is no surprise that after finishing High School I went on to major in Communications and Psychology, minoring in Sports and Child Psychology.  I can never repay my parents for what they have done for me.  I am who i am today all because of them.

Today I am very fortunate to have accomplished some of my achievements and to have gotten an opportunity to travel the world, meet some amazing people and gained an enormous amount of experiences. Both my parents have passed away, but their legacy always lives on as the values and integrity they have instilled me is what i strive to be everyday.

My world seems surreal sometimes and I never take a day for granted.  No matter where I go and what I do, I always remember who I am and I never forget about my roots but more importantly I always make sure to give back to the community.  Every year my foundation makes sure to support the local charities for Breast Cancer and Heart and Stroke in honor of my parents.
